Hoop Workshops at VCS New West

Hoop Dance is an exciting new program geared towards teens and adults with a great spirit and a passion for having fun! This beautiful performance art is a fun workout for the mind, body and soul. In addition to strengthening your core and toning your body, you will be exercising your creativity, increasing your energy and boosting your self-confidence simply by playing like a kid again! No previous experience is necessary. Custom practice hoops will be provided.

Classes run Monday or Friday in New Westminster, 7pm or 8pm.

Winter Spectacular (camp and student show)

The Vancouver Circus School would like to invite you to our Winter Spectacular Circus Camp in New Westminster. This is a great opportunity to showcase what you’ve learned for friends, family and loved ones. Under the direction of some of Vancouver’s top Circus instructors, you’ll create a show that you can be proud to be a part of.

This program is recommended for people who are young and ‘young at heart’.

Two Day Camp Tues. Dec 14 – (6-8pm) & Sat. Dec 18 (3-7pm)

Showtime!!! (all are welcome to attend) – 6pm Saturday Dec 18th

$60 plus HST – Max of 42 Students

Have you always wanted to try out some the the circus activities, but aren’t sure if you want to sign up for a 5 week session? In addition to our specialty intro workshops in November, we are also offering “intro to the circus” classes where students can try out silks, trampoline, trapeze, juggling and more for only $10 ($15 for teens and adults)

Intro Classes run every Saturday starting October 30th. An Intro class is 1.5 hours and mixes all the circus skills together in a fun and challenging experience.

REGISTRATION INFO

This is the perfect chance to expand your range of skills or to get a friend involved in the circus. Intro classes are fun, friendly and no previous experience is required!

VCS at Whistler Children Arts Festival!

A few of the Vancouver Circus School coaches and crew taught Juggling, Trampoline & Swinging trapeze workshops for the Whistler Children Arts Festival on July 17 + 18 2010 in front of the Creekside Gondala. The coaches also played on the aerial rig when they conducted some uber cool aerial demonstrations.

Ozone Circus School at the Richmond Ozone! Feb 2010

The Vancouver Circus School was invited to teach all types of juggling and ground level circus activities to the public at a tent provided by the City of Richmond, for the Richmond Ozone during the first week of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

We had a very busy tent during our time there!

BC Lions Cheerleaders Play at the Vancouver Circus School!

This past Fall, the BC Felions (cheer-leading squad for the BC Lions) came out to our North Shore school for a day of fun circus team-building activities.

BC Felion, Amanda Shatzko gushed, “The coaches at the Vancouver Circus School were so helpful and taught our squad everything from aerial silks to juggling.

Not only was it really fun to do something so out of the ordinary, but it was a great workout!

The girls and I loved every minute of it!
